A NEW LEASE OF LIFE FOR MONICA CROAN

The 1958 build Monica Croan (Yard No. 486) pictured at Arbroath in April 2009. Originally built for Joe Croan Ltd. of Granton, the former Fair Isle class trawler underwent a major conversion at Grangemouth and will now be used as a yacht.

As can be seen (bottom left), the vessel still retains her original Gardner eight-cylinder diesel engine . The picture on the bottom right shows Monica Croan on the slip for painting and the fitting of a bow thruster.
